Veteran's Memorial Park and Campground

WATER WILL BE SHUT OFF AT THE CAMPGROUND FOR THE SEASON ON SUNDAY. OCTOBER 26TH, 2025 UNTIL THE SPRING SEASON BEGINS IN 2026. THERE WILL BE NO WATER ACCESS TO CAMPING UNITS AT THE SITE NOR RESTROOM OR SHOWERHOUSE ACCESS. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY FOR LATE SEASON RESERVATIONS

Veterans Memorial Campground is a picturesque, riverfront, shaded campground nestled along the Wapsipinicon River in Quasqueton, Iowa. Our campground season runs March 1st through December 1st, although the entire area may be explored year-round. Our campground hosts 39 campsites available for reservation for RV and tent units. You can choose to stay put and relax in nature or cross the bridge for some urban adventure. Our campground offers our visitors many camping amenities and nearby recreational amenities and it is conveniently located off Highway 35 near the downtown district for food, local events, and live entertainment. We invite you to explore and enjoy this beautiful outdoor area which contains Wapsipinicon River access for boats, a canoe and kayak launch and riverbank fishing, including handicap accessible fishing. Our campground is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts. Below the river access points in the campground, there is a rock arch rapid stretch of the river that contains deeper pools for fish-holding pockets to benefit anglers and midstream gaps in the weirs to allow experienced kayakers and canoeists to paddle through the rapids. This section of the river flowing past the campground is part of the Wapsipinicon River Trail where river travelers enjoy diverse wildlife, scenic bluffs, and sandbars.
